After 12 years at The Edge in Manchester, Spectrum are relocating to Altrincham from the 22nd March. This will be an exciting next stage for the Spectrum business, providing us with a great platform to build on what has been a very busy last 5 years. The Team
Peter Macfarlane - Director
Peter is a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, having qualified in 1992. He joined the Associated British Ports in 1992 after graduating from the University of Glamorgan with an Honours Degree in Urban Estate Management and moved from Cardiff to Manchester in 1994 to join Chesterton International Property Consultants in their Asset Management Department with responsibility for a portfolio of approximately £400 million of assets.
Prior to joining Modus in 2001, and subsequently the de-merged Spectrum business, he was an Associate Director in Matthews & Goodman Property Consultants with a responsibility for a retail portfolio approaching £200 million.
Peter has extensive experience of management of retail, offices and industrial portfolios, and also has significant experience of managing client relationships. During his experience with both Chesterton and Matthews & Goodman, Peter has worked with UBS, Henderson Global Investors, Royal Sun Alliance, Minerva Plc, Helical Bar and Pillar Properties.
Peter’s primary responsibilities within Spectrum Property Management are to manage the portfolio (including acquisitions and disposals) and instructing agents and lawyers (during acquisition, ownership and disposal of the assets). He has a wide range of relationships with Banks, investors and occupational tenants.
David Lockhart - Director
David is a former corporate banker having been with Bank of Scotland Group for over 21 years. He joined Bank of Scotland in 1983 after graduating from University of Strathclyde with an Honours Degree in Mathematics and moved from Scotland to Manchester in 1986 to join British Linen Bank which was the merchant banking arm of Bank of Scotland.
Prior to joining Modus Group in 2005, and subsequently the de-merged Spectrum business in 2008, he was a Director in the Corporate Division of the Bank with responsibility for a significant corporate loan portfolio.
David has extensive experience of structuring financial packages for property related transactions and also has significant experience of managing client relationships. David’s primary responsibility within Spectrum Investment Management is to manage internal funds and to structure appropriate financial solutions for property acquisitions involving debt, mezzanine and equity funding. He is also responsible for reporting to investors.
He is also a Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland and has a wide range of relationships with Banks and equity investors.
